PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Senior HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Human Resources including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance, working in conjunction with the UK. This is a hands-on role requiring a strategic thinker who can also manage day-to-day HR operations efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Relationship Building and Partnership

  • Build and sustain effective relationships with management, working closely in partnership to contribute to the implementation of the service delivery business plan.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees and management regarding HR issues and support.

Recruitment and Resourcing

  • Guide managers to ensure effective recruitment processes, maintaining legislative compliance.
  • Ensure appropriate resourcing regarding headcount and skill level/mix within the Service Delivery team in collaboration with management.

Employee Relations and Welfare

  • Manage employee relations and welfare issues, including payroll, onboarding, and probationary requirements.
  • Understand service delivery team and business plans to pre-empt issues and challenges employees face, manage expectations, and ensure appropriate communication throughout the function.

Leadership Capability and Talent Development

  • Identify and take actions to develop service delivery leadership capability and facilitate talent processes.
  • Drive local input and support for companywide HR policies and initiatives, ensuring effective implementation of new approaches.
  • Collaborate with management to produce succession plans for key roles within the business function.

Performance Management

  • Drive and develop the performance management process, in conjunction with the UK, to ensure its relevance and contribution to the business, ensuring compliance and consistency.
  • Support team leaders in resolving performance issues and undertaking formal disciplinary meetings when necessary.

Training and Development

  • Coach and mentor team leaders and line managers within the Service Delivery team.
  • Identify and collate service delivery training needs, compiling the associated training plan.
  • Liaise with management to ensure timely delivery of training programs.
  • Provide internal training to team leaders and managers on people management skills, including grievance handling, performance management, disciplinary hearings, interviewing skills, and appraisals.
  • Promote early recognition and proactive management of performance issues at the team leader level.

Compliance

  • Support the Management team in ensuring that the activities of the service delivery team follow defined processes and meet business requirements for quality, health and safety, legal, and industry standards.
  • Identify and implement HR actions and interventions required to deliver the service delivery business plan, balancing competing demands and setting realistic priorities to support business performance.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Experienced HR professional with a min of 8 years experience; with relevant HR qualifications
  • Experience working with BIM, CAD and Surveying companies will be an added advantage.
  • Will have a strong understanding of payroll and HR advisory services on best practices in all areas of HR.
  • Direct experience in administering recruitment and selection and payroll administration.
  • Coaching and influencing skills.
  • An ability to deal with colleagues at all levels and within all functions within the business.
  • Credible trusted advisor to management
  • Strong client service orientation
  • Change management skills.
